  • 300 g plain flour, sieved
  • pinch of salt
  • 175 g brown sugar
  • 200 g unsalted butter, cubed, at room temperature
  • knob of butter, for greasing
For the filling
  • 450 g apples (Granny Smith), peeled, cored and cut into 1 cm pieces
  • 50 g brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon plain flour
  • 1 pinch ground cinnamon
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C
