Sticky, sweet, and spicy; these drumsticks taste so good you’ll want them all to yourself. And you can tone down the spiciness for kids. The perfect snack for everybody or serve with a salad as a lunch or main dish.
- 24 chicken drumsticks
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup honey
- ¼ cup chopped garlic
- 2 tablespoons Frank's Red Hot Sauce Original (see notes)
- Preheat oven to 200°C. Place drumsticks on 2 rimmed baking sheets and season with salt and pepper.
- Bake for 30 minutes.
- Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, combine honey, garlic, and hot sauce. Baste drumsticks with sauce occasionally during baking time. (Drain off excess cooking liquid before basting.)
- Bake for a further 20 - 25 minutes, or until no pink remains and juices run clear.
Substitute the hot sauce with barbecue sauce if these are for kids who don't like it too spicy.
